It’s rough, crunchy paint in places, But it seems like a good way to hoon in an air cooled 911, particularly if the engine swap is documented.

There are either 2 ways I see the classic car bubble going, 911s included. Either they will bust during the next global financial crisis and prices will drop to more moderate levels. Our they will soon plateau and not see the excess growth they’ve seen since 2010. But I’m not a finance guru so my thoughts are more then likely wrong.

If this was any other 80's sports car in this shape it’d be about $10,000 less. But it’s cheap for an air cooled Porsche.

Plus those seats!

Need to paint it beige metallic. I feel that silver isn’t original anyways.

Lexington KY. Hasn’t been registered since ‘12, just a yellow flag.

fanboy here

Other than the 911, 944, MR2, Supra Corvette what other sport cars are there from the 80's? 300 z31 wasn’t all that great. RX7s of that era are a PITA with apex seals. Lotus, Ferraris are on another level of cost/upkeep. Other than the Corvette the 911 has the most power and lines that have held up.

Those seats..... I would get this one checked by a mechanic and the lack of heat worries me (no heat means no defroster which you need for inspection) but it looks worth your time.

Although prices are high they’ve keep up with inflation. “in 2000 this car was 15k” is rather short sighted as that would be @$25k now.   prices were keep down 2008-2011 thus the rise as prices started to climb up to pre crash prices and now catching up. When I see people asking 50k I think asking and getting are two very different things.

I don’t have the 12-13k I’d offer for this. It’s a fawnchy beetle, how hard can it be to re-add heat?

Even if the heater core wasn’t there probably not too challenging. More of a pain in the ass than anything, as that’s currently a problem I’m experiencing so I figured I’d give a heads up.

This is a “potential” NP only if you get satisfactory answer as to why it’s not been registered since 2012. Also why no heat nor any AC?

No heat especially on an aircooled VW or Porsche could mean small (or big) issues with rust underneath where it can be difficult to find.

If you get satisfactory answers to above + get it checked out by Porsche (or aircooled VW) mechanic & the rebuild was legit (and well done), than NP
